Michelle Beckenhauer
Michelle was born and raised in Germany. Her father, Scott Martinez, served in the United States Army for nearly 20 years. He was raised in Great Falls, MT. Her mother, Wilma Martinez, was born and raised in Germany as well. She worked as a stay at home mom for 16 years, raising Michelle and her brother, Darron. She is now the general manager of a popular restaurant, working upwards of 50 hours a week!
In 2001, her family moved from Germany to Great Falls. Here, Michelle attended Charles M. Russell high school and graduated with honors in 2011. She then moved out of her parents home to Missoula, MT where she attended the University of Montana and received a bachelor's degree in Social Work, with a minor in Psychology.
The year following her college graduation was filled with a few relocations; Great Falls for an internship, Bozeman for new jobs and fun, back to Great Falls, and then finally returning to Missoula in February of 2016.
Currently, Michelle works as a teller at a credit union in Missoula. She is very passionate about child welfare and psychology and hopes to one day own her own child care facility or work as an educator to toddlers. She does not describe herself as creative, but she enjoys spending the summers kayaking, camping, and going on road trips! She is a hippie at heart and still hopes for world peace and equality for everyone!
Scott Mathson
Scott was born and raised in Great Falls, MT. His father, Dennis Mathson, recently retired after 40+ years of working at Malmstrom Air Force Base as a civilian HVAC mechanic. His mother, Mimi Mathson, is retiring this year after 35 years as a teacher at Holy Spirit Catholic School (she took time off to raise both Scott and his older brother, Mark).
Scott went to Great Falls High School, excelling in the music & arts programs, holding first chair percussion and jazz band seats and was a drumline captain. Scott's creative and entrepreneurial roots started as a musician. He opened a parents-basement recording studio, recording and releasing albums for local musicians. It was during this time (2007-2008) that Scott started working on website design and development, as well.
He moved to Missoula with Michelle and started college, trying out multiple majors over the course of a couple of years. He's a student of life, not excelling in traditional classrooms. He absolutely loves learning, though and does every single day. Scott left school to work full-time, perfecting a variety of skills, running a woodworking business, and finding his calling.
He's a website designer and front-end developer for onXmaps, Inc. in Missoula - an outdoor recreation mapping technology company. He's also running Mathson Design Co. developing websites and working with a variety of designers and clients around the world. He finds, creates, and shares his creativity wherever, whenever, and however he can.
