Our Story

When Michelle arrived in Great Falls after having grown up in Germany, it was difficult for her to make friends. She turned to social media in hopes of finding some. One day she received a MySpace message from Scott:

“Hey, you’re cute! Looks like you're from Great Falls too. We should be friends!”

After a couple months of flirty text messages, video chats, and phone calls, Michelle and Scott met up at a local coffee shop. They were immediately inseparable and were always in trouble for staying out past curfew. In fact, Michelle’s Dad once caught Scott on top of their garage roof, sneaking out at around 3 a.m.! They've always supported each other’s hobbies and dreams, and initally envisioned “living off the land” in a cabin in the woods!

Their relationship has endured a lot: high school, moving out of their parents’ homes, late nights stressing over finals in college, getting their first full-time jobs, having bills pile up and realizing that budgeting is important, and learning to grow together rather than separately. However, they have also shared so many joys: signing the lease on their first apartment together, many nights spent in a tent (or the back of the car because something definitely made a noise out there) out under the stars, adopting their cats and their dog Brooks, together, watching each other grow into adults, developing new hobbies and traditions as a couple, and soon, getting married!

Scott and Michelle started dating July 24th, 2009 when they were just 16 years old. Now, 8 years later, they’re getting married! While on a trip to Disneyland, Scott got down on one knee in front of Cinderella's castle and asked Michelle to be his wife. Michelle said, in disbelief, “Shut up!” a few times before finally saying “Yes!” and jumping with glee. They are beyond excited that you will be joining them in the celebration of their union as husband and wife!
